Having a healthy pregnancy is one of the best ways to promote a healthy birth. Getting early and regular prenatal care improves the chances of a healthy pregnancy. This care can begin prior to pregnancy with Fertility Awareness classes.
Prenatal visits are encouraged during the developmental stages of your baby. We take the time to address your physical and emotional needs to ensure that your prenatal experience is one that you'll enjoy.
We offer a birthing class once a month to all expecting mothers and a person of her choice. At the class we will go over what to expect during labor, how to prepare for what is to com, what you will experience as your body changes and get ready for the birth of your baby. You will learn how to make informed decisions, as well as learn techniques to help you stay calm and relaxed. Many have found that childbirth class reduces the anxiety and fear that is associated with child birth.
Message us to sign up, for the next class.
Once you go into labor we will come to you, or you will have full access to the birthing room, where you can labor. If you are planning on a hospital birth your doula will go with you to hospital and be with you every step of the way. At home or in the birthing room you will experience the freedom to move around as needed, eat what you'd like when you'd like and relax in whatever way feels good to your body. The combination of support and comfort from your family and our team will be extremely beneficial at your birth.
After birth there is always a Birthday Party with cake and Ice Cream !
To ensure that you receive the best possible care for you and your newborn baby, we will stay in close contact with you after your birth to provide support. Doulas will take care of light cleaning, meals and helping tend to other children in the home. IBCLC (lactation Specialist) is also available to assist you in this new journey of breastfeeding. We will be there to answer any questions you may have. All of these services can be provided to you in the comfort of your home. Our goal is to stay connected with you and your family for healthy development and rest.
There is also additional newborns check and free weigh ins available when ever you would like. This is comforting and ensures you that your baby is growing, is healthy and to help the mother rest easy, and know that everything is okay.
We also have a wide variety of vitamins and supplements on hand at our location. Folic acid is a B vitamin that every cell in your body needs for healthy growth and development. Taking folic acid before and during pregnancy can help prevent birth defects of the brain and spine. So whether it is prenatals, or just your common coughs and colds, sore muscles or insomnia, we have what you need.
We also have handy little things to make a mothers life just a little easier like breast shells and silicone milk saver bottle.
I believe that every woman has the right to a safe, respectful, and empowering birth experience. I am committed to providing personalized care that is tailored to each individual's needs and preferences, and I work collaboratively with my clients to create a birth plan that aligns with their values and goals.
