
Meet Sarah Unruh, Certified Doula, Apprentice, Student of Midwifery & Direct Entry Midwife
Childbirth is the single most impacting event in every mother's life that changes everything from the moment of conception. As a mother of four, the experience is never the same, with each child making their way into the world in their own way! Sarah has been working as an assistant in midwifery since April of 2015. She has had the privilege of being able to attend multiple births as a support person for the laboring mother and since then has completed her certification as a doula. Sarah is currently studying for her IBCLC and Birthing Instructor certifications.
She attends births in the home setting as well as birthing centers and hospitals as a doula, and a midwife with complete support for her mothers. She has a deep passion to touch the lives of women. Sarah is not only a doula, but she is also an assistant to, two midwives currently and enjoying this journey into the world of a CPM. One of the midwives (all CPM's) that she works with will assist in all births. Sarah does work with several other midwives in the area as well. With both avenues of being a doula and pursuing CPM midwifery Sarah has been and continues to be able to serve women in the setting that they choose. Currently Sarah Has completed her NARM (North American Registry of Midwives) and is a direct entry Midwife a preparing to take the NARM exam the spring of 2024, and has practiced on her own for several years.
